It's an easy drive up famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach to see the mighty sand blows, coloured sands, Eli Creek spilling into the ocean, the Maheno shipwreck, Indian Head and the Champagne Pools. Close by are the rainforests around Pile Valley and Central Station and beautiful, fresh-water lakes with white sandy beaches, which include McKenzie, Birrabeen and Wabby. A splendid new signature complex containing a restaurant, bars, conference and function rooms overlooks a large freeform swimming pool. A casual beachfront bar and evening entertainment centre with karaoke adjoin the second pool. A well stocked mini supermarket, with mainland prices, supplies everything from groceries, meat, vegetables, to souvenirs, camping equipment and fishing gear. Ice, fuels and motor oils are also on sale. A hot bread bakery and cafe supplies casual snacks. Conducted scenic tours of the island in 4WD coaches depart every morning and afternoon. There are BBQ’s, tennis, 4WD vehicles for hire and guided bushwalks. All the units have private facilities and kitchens for self catering.
